A robust and complex distillate with nutty, malty, floral and fruity notes. Matured in a refill cask and finished in a first-fill Oloroso cask from the Hidalgo cooperage for over three years, giving intense notes of dried fruit.

Located at the foot of the famous mountain of the same name in the heart of Speyside, the majority of this spirit is intended for blending. This cask was given a three-year finish in a famous bodega Oloroso cask from the Hidalgo cooperage in Spain. This has given the spirit a softer ex-sherry side with more toffee and caramel character rather than the expected Christmas cookie and dried fruit notes.

Tasting revealed - medjool dates, wine gums, chocolate fudge, old oak furniture, cherry Bakewell, apple pastry, winter spices, honey glazed ham, sherry trifle.
