El Ron del Artesano Tawny Port Finish

Artesano Tawny Port Cask Finish is the second variation in the core range. It has been aged slightly longer than 7.5 years in ex-Bourbon casks before being transferred to recently emptied ex-Tawny Port casks from Portugal. Despite the ruby red casks, tawny port is an oxidative port and shows more notes of nuts and a completely different aroma profile.

The aroma is reminiscent of honeydew melon, walnut-chocolate and a little fresh orange juice. It seems to be waiting for you with a soft and easygoing character. On the palate, it shows a bit more power than the ruby cask, as it is just over a year older and has received more power from the cask. But the aroma of milk chocolate gives it a creaminess so that the wood is well integrated and gives it more length than the ruby cask might show.
