Caperdonich 1997

Caperdonich, the fabled distillery, opened back in 1898 and closed in 2001 and 10 years later the buildings were demolished. The character of the whiskey was floral, slightly creamy and missed by many connoisseurs. This bottling has spent its entire journey in an ex-Bourbon cask. It was distilled on 27/8 1997 and bottled at cask strength on 24/7 2020. A true jewel that many collectors would like to have in their collection and not least to taste.

The aroma offers rum-raisin, apricot jam and honey-on-toast. The taste gives us ripe pineapple, orange chocolate and honeycomb to finish in a wave of creamy vanilla, wine gum and nuttiness.
