Secret Islay PX finish

Distilled on Islay and aged in ex-Bourbon for 10 years.

50 litres were then transferred and finished in an ex-Pedro Ximenez Oktav (approx. 64 litres) from Tanoaria Josafer Bodega.

Distilled on August 16, 2009, in an ex-Bourbon HHD for 10 years and bottled, after finishing, on January 7, 2020.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to reveal which distillery the liquid comes from according to our agreement with them.

The PX octaves come from our supplier in Portugal and give us an extremely complex and rich character with sweet notes of dried fruit such as raisins, figs, dates on a bed of honey, grape juice, marmalade, candied fruit and in the finish we expect roasted coffee, dark chocolate, coconut and liquorice. The mouthfeel is silky-sweet but with enough acidity to balance the sweetness and alcohol. It all ends with salted caramel, a light "sea" tone and peatiness.

66 bottles were bottled from this unique still with a natural cask strength of 57.9% ABV.
